About the Founder – Ann Clarke

Ann Clarke’s life-long vision has been to help women become successful in business: when women are financially successful, they have better choices! Throughout her 30+ year career as an award-winning photographer, writer, marketing consultant, professional speaker and event planner, Ann has brought together resources to help her clients become outrageously successful.

In 2008 Ann founded Colorado Women of Influence as a master-mind organization. The group quickly grew, adding educational workshops, networking and social events, ten years of The Women of Vision Gala, Girlfriend Getaways, a thriving Emerita program for retired Members, and an “Emerging Leader” mentoring program for women early in their careers or returning to the workforce after a life-changing event. On the average, COWOI sponsors a mind-boggling 45 events each year! The result is a "sisterhood" of sorts: like-minded successful women who can't wait to share their knowledge, expertise - and friendship - with others.

Ann is most proud of her work with the youth and for nine years she led an entrepreneurial mentoring program for high school girls in four cities in Northern Colorado. This program has brought together dozens of female business owners with hundreds of high school girls who wanted hands-on experiences in owning their own business.

Over the years Ann’s passion for helping others has been recognized when she was honored as one of the “People Who Make A Difference,” “Outstanding Women in Business,” “Coloradoans Making a Difference,” “Professional Women Supporting Professional Athletes” and an “Outstanding Service Award” from the Women’s International Network. Most recently she received the "Mikki Roth Eagle Spirit" and "BizWest Outstanding Mentor Awards." She was also a member of the Honorary Board of the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame, helping put even more women into the spotlight! A lifetime athlete, she’s proud that she and her 5K9 Australian Shepherd dog Buddy were featured as one of Mind & Body Magazine’s “Super Women.” Before retiring, together they competed in 65 5K running events! Now in her 80's, Ann puts on big miles on her Harley-Davidson trike, continuing to prove that "Life is a dashing and bold adventure...if we choose to make it that way!"
